Making Make Games SA as the recognised Industry Association in South Africa
Hi Guys,
I'm in talks with the DTI at the moment on making MGSA the registered industry association for game development in SA. If we can get this, it gives us access to a whole host of funding programs. Importantly the SASS scheme which will let us send 20 people to GDC next year. I've submitted most of the forms already, but the DTI is now asking that we submit a list of "members signing their support and allegiance to the organisation, justifying why they should be approved as an Export Council, Industry Association or Joint Action Group"
I need your pledge by Wednesday 27 November 2013
Details we will need: Organisation Name, Registration Number (if it has one), Name of person signing, designation, motivation of support
COMPLETE THE FORM HERE
Thanks for your continued support guys, with your help we can really make MGSA go places :)
Nick

When is it all needed by?
Also I think some social media posting would be a good idea given the narrow time frame of trying to get people to sign.
I want to point out that every individual in a company can complete the form. Your motivation might be different from the managers, developers or artists. You can also fill out the form whether you're a hobbyist, indie or professional because you get value from MGSA.
Will get the rest of QCF to attack this tomorrow if they haven't already filled it out by then.
There was something vague and cryptic at the end of the form about contacting me for a signature (digital signature I presume). But I don't see anything in my inbox.
With some sprinkling of ramblings of a crazy person.
Hope it helps. Hope I got it right.
Thanks for your continued efforts folks. It will be great to see local game development getting stronger.
(Unless we do have a Mitch in our midst :P)
@LexAquillia I sent you a mail :)
