Watch the Skies JHB - Megagame of Alien Terror
Hello all,
As some of you know we are hosting a megagame as part of the A MAZE festival this year.
We are staging Watch the Skies which is a game about the world surviving an alien threat and invasion. The megagame will be a day long event where players take on the role of some of the world's powerful countries and have to respond to the rumors, murmurs and possibility of a full scale alien invasion while making sure their country continues, business as usual.
The game is a role-playing/wargame/model United Nations type of game. It is all about negotiation, diplomacy, military tactics, arguing and scheming. Each turn last for 30 minutes and represents 6months in the game world. During those turns each team (country) will have the opportunity to move their forces, make deals in the UN, negotiate with Aliens and other countries, make and break alliances, manage their PR and resources and prevent global panic from reaching a staggering level.
